Training and Safety in Amusement Parks
Amusement Equipment Operator
- Operates construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, or grade tractors.
- Prepares construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation.
- Uses excavating machinery to dig holes and trenches used in structural concrete.
- Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites.
- Uses equipment to prepare building sites for exterior site concrete such as parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and loading docks.
- Operates machinery used to build bridges, roads, and railroads.
- Inspects and fuels vehicle prior to beginning shift.
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Amusement Equipment Attendant
- Greet customers, explain the operation of equipment and game play instructions
- Collect payment and issue tickets, tokens or prizes
- Monitor guests to ensure safety
- Maintain games and equipment in working order
- Assist with the set-up and maintenance of the facility
- Perform minor repairs to equipment
- Provide customer service support
Amusement Equipment Supervisor
- ensure all parts of the park are operating effectively in terms of staff and equipment
- oversee the effective application of health and safety regulations and risk assessment to ensure a safe environment for park employees and the public
- plan and implement strategies to achieve continual improvements in visitor and employee satisfaction
- create new events and experiences for visitors
- set budgetary and cost control strategies
- project manage general park developments, including ride design
- liaise with contractors, e.g. for the installation and integration of facilities
- deal with human resources and personnel
- build effective staff teams, through performance management, training and development
- keep abreast of developments in the industry, both internal and external, such as changes in legislation
- understand local community issues and build relationships with local government and external partners
- maintain a critical oversight of marketing functions
- monitor competition.
Amusement Technician
- Maintain, repair, and advance troubleshooting of electro-mechanic machinery to ensure their safe and efficient operation, “Hands-On” Work.
- The Technician will perform visual and auditory inspections of electro-mechanic machinery and maintain proper records for all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed utilizing MA CMMS system or similar.
- Keep a machine spare parts inventory and notify the supervisor of any materials necessary to ensure safety and continuous operation.
- Ensure that machines are clean and visually compliant with manufacturers specifications and Luna Park in Coney Island Maintenance Standards
- Inspect machines daily and notify a Maintenance Supervisor of any hazards.
- Will be required to perform shift supervisor duties, including but not limited to ensuring proper coordination, productivity, safety, quality of Work, and cleanliness on assigned projects.
- Able to coordinate maintenance and inspection procedures.
- Will work alongside Maintenance Personager to instruct and support other team members.
